NYC Marathon

I'm on a mission to walk the New York Marathon, after once believing I'd never walk again. Join me in raising crucial funds for the Perry Cross Foundation and work towards a cure for spinal cord injuries.

My Mission

This November, I’m racing in the New York City Marathon - a lifelong goal, that for years felt out of reach. When I became a paraplegic at 20, along with losing the use of my legs, I had to let go of my dream of ever running a marathon.

Since then, I have been remarkably (and honestly unexplainably) lucky. I have somehow regained the ability to walk, despite not being able to feel my legs and living with partial paralysis.

My mission for this race is simple: to walk for those who can’t.

It’s not lost on me that I am one of very few people who know how it feels to take their first steps, after being told they never would.

More than anything in this world, I want others to have the opportunity to experience that moment too.

How your donation helps

All donations go to the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation.

For years, the prognosis of a spinal cord injury has been devastatingly consistent: paralysis for life. But research is bringing real breakthroughs within reach.

Right now, the PCSRF in partnership with Griffith University, is commencing a world-first Nerve Bridge Transplantation and Rehabilitation Human Clinical Trial. A groundbreaking step toward restoring movement.

Thank you

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Knowing I have your support behind me, makes every step feel that much more meaningful. Together we’re raising crucial funds and working towards a cure for spinal cord injuries.
